Lesson: Voiced and Voiceless Consonants

Voiced and Voiceless Consonants.

The objective of this lesson is very simple.

Recognise the difference between voiced and voiceless consonants.

All consonants are produced by air coming out of the mouth or nose.

If the vocal chords vibrate then the consonants are voiced consonants.

If the vocal chords don't vibrate then the consonants are voiceless consonants.

Easy, right?

Now watch the video and hear the difference.

Pro Tip. If you put your hand on your throat you can feel the vocal chords vibrate. ;)
