Nouns and Adjectives

Nouns are things or concepts. Adjectives describe nouns.

Noun + Adjective

A green house. Una casa verde.

An old tree. Un árbol Viejo.

A young girl. Una chica joven.

A stupid idea. Una idea estúpida.

A strange philosophy. Una filosofía extraña.

Verbs and Adverbs

Verbs are actions. Adverbs give information about how the action of a verb is done.

Los verbos son acciones. Los adverbios dan información sobre como se hace la acción de un verbo.

Verb + adverb

Run quickly. Correr rápidamente.

Talk loudly. Hablar alto.

Paint well. Pintar bien.

Think carefully. Pensar cuidadosamente.

Play the guitar beautifully. Tocar la guitarra hermosamente.
